Online Streams of Income

Oh my God... there are just so many ways to make money online. It turns out that Adsense is just a small part of supplement income although some people are doing very well with just Adsense. During my studies thus far, I have found few streams of income online and here they are.

  1. Google Adsense
  2. ClickBank
  3. Commission Junction
  4. Amazon
In my own journey to online business, I will focus on these four streams of income. As you can see, I already have Google Adsense and Commission Junctions affiliate program which is 1&1 Domain and Hosting company that I'm promoting.

You can sign-up with all four companies above by going to their website and creating an account. Next, I will explore how I'm going to drive traffic to those sites.

If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email.

The name of the game is... TRAFFIC?

After much research to get a handle on this thing, I am slowly realizing that it's not the product or how well your website looks, but it all boils down to how many people you can get to your website. The name of the game is....TRAFFIC or better yet, "TARGETED TRAFFIC".

Products are there and customers are there, you just got to find a way for those customers to get to the products. I guess there are many way to drive that traffic through SEO, Blog or Google Adword (PPC), however I'm not very familiar with those tools yet. I feel like I still have long-learning curve to go. I saw few SEO tutorial available online, but they all seem to touch up on the surface and you end-up with sales pitch asking for subscription fee for real info.

I also read from someone that, its either you taking the time or money to learn it or you hiring someone to do it for you. Looking at these two options, I think it's better for me to learn the damn thing instead of paying someone to do it. I'd rather learn how to make $1000 instead of paying somebody to make that $1000 for me. I don't know about you, but for me, second option makes much more sense. It's either I learn this, or else my success will be dependent on how well someone does my work for me. Does that make sense?

Besides, I heard many SEO companies make big promises without delivering any result and the thing with SEO, you don't see the result right away and SEO companies will start their work after you have paid half or whatever the bill is and I heard they are not cheap.

So, with that said, I poked around to learn about SEO and I learned that to drive that "targeted traffic", you have to use the right KEYWORD. Now that's a loaded word. People arrive at your website because they typed in a keyword or a phrase that is relevant to your website, and because your site had proper optimization, your site shows up in the first few positions of the search results and gets the click-thru from the searcher, which means more targeted TRAFFIC.

I ran into few software that does this analysis for me and I'm going to write a review about them in the next post. Stay tooned...

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Ok, now that I have a website with Google Adsense, I've been trying to get a handle on this whole "Internet Marketing" stuff for the past few hours. There are just tons of information and my eyes are hurting right now. Here are the findings:

Internet Marketing is all about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and PPC (Pay-Per-Click). I personally like SEO better just because I guess you don't have to "pay" per each click. That is just crazy, that's what I'm trying to do, you know what I mean? Plus, I heard about 70% of all people using search engine clicks on the SEO links rather then the Google Adword on the side.

With that said, I have been digging all over Google and Yahoo about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and so far, all I have is that you can hire someone to increase your rank or you can optimize your website yourself by using meta tags and right phrases and keywords.

For example on this article, just because I used the word SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Internet Marketing, I'm thinking that Adsense related to those keyword should pop-up.

You know what, let's check that... let me post this and I'll be back.

Adsense incorporated with Blogger

HTML clipboardThis is very cool... Here are the finding, so far.
  1. What is Adsense? = I have learned this through www.youtube.com, it has tons of videos about what Adsense is and video blog of people's story on them. I eventually found out that I need a content website. Content on the website will drive better traffic throught usage of keywords opposed to a e-commerce site with bunch of picture and less text. (Good Tip: I do want to focus on content that I know most and like.
  2. I need a website = I am not a webmaster and I have never designed a website before, so I thought I go out and just buy one. I spent some time searching on Google and Yahoo to find a way to put together a website quick and I ended up on eBay. eBay had tons of sellers selling website for very cheap and they already had Google Adsense on them. But I could not find a website with my interest of content. Then I thought about my current Blog with wordpress. I am a seminary student and I use Wordpress to post my writings on them, and came across an article that had to do with incorporating Wordpress with Google Adsense. After few phone calls to Wordpress, Google and Godaddy (hosting company I use), I found out that Google owns Blogger and they might have better integration compatibility with Blogger!!!
  3. So I sign-up with Blogger and started putting together this content you're reading here. By the way, this content got all started with WordPress and I transferred it here. Now, here is the nice surprise. Playing with my Blog's admin page, I stumbled on a widget section where it provided all these cool widgets that I can put on my Blog such as calendar, archive, etc, etc, etc... and toward the bottom, I found Google Adsense. Do you see them on the side and the bottom? I am so tempted to click on them right now.
  4. What's next? = I think now I really need to drive traffic. Hmmmm..... How do I do that???

Stay toned...

It starts here.

I have heard of people making a nice passive income through Google Adsense. I have no idea what Google Adsense is yet, but I am going to find out very soon and will be documenting my findings here.

I think it will help me stay organized and at the same time I'm hoping that it might be a helpful content for somebody who might be in my position in the future.

So, let the game begin....

PS. Oh, and if you want to venture on this with me together to create some synergy we can both leverage, feel free to give me a call.
